The 2018 OVO Energy Tour of Britain Stage 1 begins in Carmarthenshire and ends in Newport, South Wales on Sunday 2nd September, welcoming 120 of the world’s top cyclists for Britain’s biggest professional cycle race.
The Tour will join the A4077 just south of Crickhowell at approx. 2pm. The riders will pass Gilwern (2.05pm) & take the B4246 to Lanfoist, just south of Abergavenny (2.13pm) followed by the B4269, A4042 & the B4598 to Usk. There will be a sprint section from Usk & the Tour will finish in Newport.
There will be a rolling road block in place along this route with the roads from Penperlleni to Usk being closed between 2.15pm & 4.00pm. Access to the caravan park will still be possible along the B4598 to Raglan.
For those wishing to view the race the cyclists will pass over the Chainbridge just a short walk up the road from the Caravan Park.
